High Carbon Silico Manganese is a ferroalloy used in steel production to enhance its strength, durability, and resistance to wear and tear. It’s a combination of Manganese, Silicon, and Carbon, primarily used to produce high-strength steel products.
Composition: It’s a blend of Manganese (Mn), Silicon (Si) and Carbon (C). The standard grade contains 14-16% Silicon, 60-70% Manganese, and around 2.5% Carbon.

Function: It acts as a deoxidizer and an alloying agent in steelmaking.

Strength and Durability: Silicon and manganese improve steel’s mechanical properties, making it stronger and more durable.

Hardness and Wear Resistance: Silicon contributes to the hardness and wear resistance of steel.

Grain Refinement: Manganese refines the grain structure, improving toughness and impact resistance.

Deoxidation: Silicon and Manganese have a strong affinity for oxygen, helping to remove it from the molten steel during the production process, resulting in cleaner steel.

Applications: High-strength steel products: Used in automotive manufacturing, construction, infrastructure development, and machinery production.

Stainless Steel: Certain grades of Silico Manganese are used in Stainless Steel production.

Alloy Steels: Used in the production of various alloy steels with specific properties.

Cast Iron: Used as an alloying element in Cast Iron.
